Car lease broker: lease negotiation for a flat $1,000

Updated

DriveEasier works as your lease broker: we find the car at dealers within about 50 miles, negotiate the lease terms, fees and add-ons on your behalf, and bring back one exact written quote for you to approve before you sign. You apply for credit and sign directly with the dealer. Flat $1,000 service fee.

What a lease broker does

A lease broker shops and negotiates a lease for you. On /start you tell us the car, the lease length and the miles you drive; we take it from there and put the numbers in writing. Nothing is agreed with a dealer for you until you say yes.

The numbers in a lease

A lease quote has more moving parts than a purchase. These are the general terms you will see:

Common lease terms
TermWhat it means
Capitalized costThe price the lease is based on. Like a purchase price, it can be negotiated.
Residual valueWhat the car is projected to be worth at the end of the lease, set by the leasing company.
Money factorThe lease's financing charge, written as a small decimal. Multiplied by 2,400 it roughly equals an interest rate.
Term and mileageHow many months, and how many miles a year, before excess-mileage charges apply.
Fees and add-onsAcquisition and documentation fees, taxes, and any dealer-installed extras.

Because the payment depends on all of them, we negotiate the whole deal, not just the monthly number. Not sure a lease is right? Read Lease vs. buy.

What it costs

The first call is free. Full service is a flat $1,000, the same for a lease as for a purchase. Dealers pay us nothing. Within 24 hours of paying, the fee is fully refundable; after that, 50% comes back for any reason until you sign.
